Our colleagues in Chelmsford and Belfast have been using their annual volunteering days to support charities making a difference in their local communities.
Supporting Farleigh Hospice in Chelmsford
Members of our Chelmsford team recently spent their volunteering day at Farleigh Hospice, which provides specialist care and support to people affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement across mid Essex.
The team helped weed, water and maintain the hospice gardens, which provide patients and their families with peaceful outdoor spaces to spend time together. The grounds also include a memorial garden where families can remember loved ones.
With the recent hot and dry weather making garden maintenance particularly important, the team was pleased to lend a hand and support such a valuable local service.
Supporting Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary
Our Belfast colleagues also have the opportunity to use their volunteering day to support Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary, a local animal welfare charity dedicated to caring for animals in need.
The sanctuary provides care and shelter for unwanted and abandoned animals, helping to give them a safe environment while suitable new homes are found. Its work includes looking after the animals’ day-to-day needs and supporting their rehabilitation and rehoming.
Volunteering at the sanctuary gives our Belfast team the chance to get involved in practical tasks while contributing to the important work the charity does for animals across the local community.
Giving Back to Our Communities
Vyta’s Volunteering Programme gives every employee one paid volunteering day each year to support a cause that matters to them.
Whether helping charities, community organisations, environmental projects or animal welfare initiatives, it’s a practical way for our teams to give something back to the communities around our offices.
We’re delighted to see colleagues across Vyta making the most of the opportunity and supporting organisations doing valuable work in their local communities.
