Social Impact
Sustainability is in our DNA: Supporting our people, our customers, our communities and the environment, sustainability drives everything we do.
Vyta is dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of our employees, charity partners, and the communities we serve. Our commitment extends beyond mere donations, as we engage in meaningful collaborations that not only drive real social change but also foster community well-being and employee welfare.
By focusing on these initiatives, we’re building a sustainable future where individuals and communities can flourish.
Accessible digital learning for all
Our role in IT Asset Disposition positions us to rescue ewaste headed to landfill and repurpose it to drastically improve the lives of those who need it most.
Vyta works with third sector and voluntary organisations to provide the most ethical and environmentally friendly solution to end of life IT assets.
Devices sent for donation undergo the same process as those in our IT Asset Disposition service, with strict processes in place to ensure no data remains on donor devices.
Camara Education
Camara is a charity registered in Ireland, the UK and the USA and founded in 2005 in Dublin.
Donated equipment is carefully assessed, loaded with appropriate software and resources, and then used in the creation of purpose-built classrooms. Camara then trains local teachers to use these devices, passing on important digital skills to generations of school children.
Since its inception, over 4 million children across Africa and Ireland have benefited from Camara donations, with 144,000 computers installed and over 12,000 schools supplied.
The Turing Trust
The Turing Trust is a UK-based charity that was set up in 2009 by Alan Turing’s great nephew, honouring his legacy by providing computers to those who need them most.
The Turing trust aim to provide access to digital education and improve the quality of education within sub-Saharan Africa.
Through the distribution of refurbished IT equipment and educational software, they empower disadvantaged communities with essential digital skills.
Since its establishment, the Turing Trust has made a significant impact, supporting over 169,000 students. They have successfully placed more than 15,000 computers in classrooms, trained 910 teachers, and demonstrated their commitment to sustainability by saving over 4,200 tonnes of carbon through IT reuse practices.
Coder Dojo
In 2023 Vyta sponsored CoderDojo Craigavon by donating refurbished laptops.
This initiative provides children, who might not otherwise receive the chance, with a nurturing space to access coding platforms, games and educational resources.

These events are about more than just raising money; they also bring our team closer together and boost teamwork across multiple departments.
Working with our communities
We are responsible members of the communities in which we operate and work to build trust and support their sustainable growth through a number of different initiatives:
