Minimise the risk of a data breach
As our reliance on tech products grows, so does the need to properly dispose of devices. Faye Thomas is Chief Commercial Officer of Vyta, the IT recycling company that helps organisations deal with their end-of-life IT, mobile and electrical equipment to minimise the risk of a data breach. Vyta is the most secure IT disposal provider on the island of Ireland.
Shaping AMI’s strategy
Faye joined the Vyta team in 2014 and has almost 20 years of sales, customer service and business operations experience. She has a passion for continuous improvement, placing the customer at the centre of our operations. As well as leading the sales, marketing and customer service teams at Vyta, Faye is deeply involved in shaping Vyta’s strategy and ensuring operations are in line with long-term business goals.
Demand driven by GDPR
The company employs 60 people in Belfast and Dublin, but has plans to expand over the next two years. “GDPR has really driven demand for our services as organisations realise the importance of eliminating all residual data from old or unwanted IT equipment, while securely disposing of these devices,” Thomas said earlier this year.
Interestingly, as of January 2020, AMI employs 75 people over both sites and has several new roles on the imminent pipeline.

Over her career, which includes a decade of experience in the IT sector, Faye has demonstrated an outstanding ability to identify market opportunities and has been instrumental in ensuring the growth and success of Vyta. Faye was listed in the 2019 Business First 40 under 40.
