AMI, now Vyta, recorded its fifth consecutive year of operational growth, processing 127,842 IT assets in 2015, a 65% increase from the 82,995 IT assets processed in 2010.

With more and more data breaches hitting the headlines, organisations are more aware of the implications if their IT assets and data are not disposed of correctly. Alongside growth in operational volumes, AMI also increased the amount of revenue returned to clients through the resale and remarketing of retired IT equipment, generating in excess of £750,000 for clients at the time.
Philip continued: “We try to remarket rather than recycle where feasible in order to unlock as much value for our clients as possible. Remarketing helps to minimise the environmental impact of IT equipment by focusing on reuse and extending the lifecycle of assets before recycling is required. Items suitable for remarketing are sold through various channels in order to provide a revenue return for our clients.”
At the time, AMI was also one of fewer than 15 UK companies certified as a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR).
