Originally awarded to AMI, now Vyta, the 2019 Vertical Market Specialist of the Year Award recognised the company’s business growth, continued investment, customer partnerships and leading industry accreditations.
AMI, now Vyta, won the 2019 Vertical Market Specialist of the Year Award at the 19th annual Irish Tech Excellence Awards, held at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin on 23rd May 2019.
The Tech Excellence Awards recognise excellence in the design, implementation and support of technology solutions and services. AMI was awarded Vertical Market Specialist of the Year by the expert judging panel in recognition of its continued business growth, successful partnerships in the public and private sectors, and strong focus on security demonstrated through industry-leading accreditations.
In the 12 months leading up to the award, AMI became the only company in Ireland at the time to achieve membership of the IT disposal industry accreditation body ADISA, and one of only four companies globally to attain its highest award, a Distinction with Honours. The company had also won the Medium/Mid-Sized Business of the Year Award at the 2018 BEFTA’s (Business Eye First Trust Bank Business Awards), recognising its contributions to the community and excellence in client service delivery.
AMI was also commended for its strategic business development, including the creation of 20 new jobs as part of a €3.5 million investment. The judges highlighted the company’s success in developing new customer partnerships, including a three-year outsourcing agreement with Camara Education to refurbish second-hand IT hardware for disadvantaged schoolchildren in Ireland and Africa.
