AMI Facilities Tour with BRIEFED

When it comes to data, AMI’s priority is and has always been security. Providing the highest form of data security, AMI is the only organisation to be ADISA (Asset Disposal and Information Security Alliance) certified in both the UK and Ireland. We are exceptionally proud to be among the top 4 of 36 companies audited globally by ADISA, achieving the highest accreditation for the 4th year in a row, a Distinction with Honours.

Recently, our team had the privilege of welcoming Orlagh Kelly and Caroline Boyle from Briefed, the GDPR compliance specialists’ to AMI.

Orlagh Kelly is the go-to-Barrister for all things GDPR, With a unique ability to interpret how GDPR legislation impacts on organisations, Orlagh has earned the title of GDPR Guru. Demand for her data protection expertise led to the creation of Briefed and its unique portfolio of GDPR training products and services. Caroline Boyle, a senior legal consultant with more than 15 years’ experience in governance and compliance, delivers GDPR training and consultancy projects with clients in sectors including education, charity, construction, financial services, and legal.

Philip McMichael, Chief Executive at AMI and Faye Thomas, Chief Commercial Officer, guided the Briefed GDPR specialists on a tour of our secure processing facility and data erasure lab, to show the levels of security undertaken by AMI when destroying data and recycling our clients’ retired IT equipment.

Orlagh said, “When Faye invited us along to see AMI’s facilities for ourselves, we were delighted for an opportunity to see the theory of GDPR put into action. We were highly impressed with the security, efficiency and effectiveness of their system; we even put them to the test bringing along one of our own hard-drives for secure shredding! It was reassuring to see professionals at work who take data security so seriously. Their system of checks and balances is highly impressive and working in the data protection field ourselves; it was both heartening to meet with colleagues who have a real understanding of GDPR and the implications for their customers.”

With nationwide coverage, servicing over 3500 sites throughout Ireland last year, AMI can securely process 3000 devices and wipe 187,500GBs per day. That’s why we have grown to become one of the UK and Ireland’s leading data destruction and IT recycling specialists.

Has GDPR made you re-evaluate your data destruction needs or have you buried your head in the sand? Don’t stress! AMI are here to help, not only will we securely eliminate your data, we can provide revenue returns for your company by reselling your redundant IT equipment through our website ReferhedbyUs.com.

Our security vetted crews in GPS tracked vehicles can securely collect your IT equipment at a time that suits you, all you need to do is give AMI a call on ROI +353 (0) 1257 3232 / NI +44 (0)28 9084 7913.
