VYTA DEMONSTRATES COMMITMENT TO RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE
Leading IT asset disposition and lifecycle management (ITAD and ITALM) company Vyta is committed to responsible business and has joined more than 200 Northern Ireland businesses to become part of the responsible business network – Business in the Community.
Members of Business in the Community collaborate to advance the responsible business agenda, which includes supporting their people, being a force for good in society and having a positive impact on the environment.
Philip McMichael, Vyta Founder and Chief Executive Officer, said:
“Responsible business practice has been a core ethos for Vyta since the company was founded in 2001, and we have always recognised the important role businesses in Northern Ireland play in addressing society’s biggest issues.
“Vyta, as part of the Business in the Community network, is fully committed to making Northern Ireland a better place in which to live, work and do business.”
Kieran Harding, Managing Director, Business in the Community NI said:
“We are delighted to welcome Vyta into our membership. Our members recognise the huge benefits that come from managing their businesses in a responsible and sustainable way, and we look forward to working with all of our members – established and new – supporting them on their responsible business journeys.
“We aim to help and inspire companies to address three campaigning areas – their People, the Planet, and the Place in which they operate. By working together to tackle social and environmental issues, businesses in membership with us can truly become a force for good in society.”
Being part of the network is a public commitment of an organisation’s commitment to corporate responsibility and member organisations benefit from a range of topical advisory services, events and initiatives around: health and wellbeing; sustainability; and diversity and inclusion, that help businesses large and small go beyond profit to make Northern Ireland a better place to work and live.
Vyta’s commitment to responsible business was recognised recently when the company was awarded the highly-coveted King’s Award for Sustainable Development, as one of only two companies in Northern Ireland to receive the recognition this year.
Vyta has also been announced as a finalist in the prestigious Business in the Community 2024 Responsible Business Awards in the One-to-Watch category.
