Last month, Vyta’s Eamon McCrory travelled to New York to represent Vyta at the 17th Annual New York-New Belfast Conference, joining business leaders, innovators and investors from across Northern Ireland and the United States.
Eamon participated in the Growing Belfast to the World panel discussion, which explored how Belfast businesses can continue to expand internationally through innovation, collaboration and investment.
The Conference has become an important platform for strengthening transatlantic relationships, showcasing Northern Ireland’s business community and creating new opportunities for growth. For Vyta, it also provided the chance to engage with organisations that are increasingly prioritising sustainability, circular economy principles and responsible IT lifecycle management.
What struck me most throughout the week wasn’t just the quality of the discussions or the calibre of the speakers, it was the genuine warmth people have towards Belfast and their willingness to help. Whether it was established business leaders, investors or fellow delegates, there was a real openness to building relationships and exploring opportunities.

Throughout the week, conversations highlighted the growing importance of IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and IT Asset Lifecycle Management (ITALM) as organisations look to strengthen security, improve ESG performance and extend the value of their technology.
The conference also reinforced Belfast’s growing reputation as a hub for innovation and international collaboration. For Vyta, it was an opportunity to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas and continue supporting organisations looking to build more secure and sustainable IT lifecycle strategies.
