IT asset disposition (ITAD) and IT asset lifecycle management (ITALM) firm Vyta has partnered with leading Irish technology solutions provider, Evad Technology Group to wipe, refurbish and donate 7 laptops to the ISPCA following their online plea for tech support.
The ISPCA, Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, is Ireland’s largest national animal welfare charity, representing several affiliated member societies. Together the ISPCA and their members rescue, treat and responsibly rehome thousands of animals of all different species. Lenny the Lurcher, (pictured) was one of these animals, having been found abandoned at the side of a busy road with a broken leg. After treatment and rehabilitation, he is now up for adoption through the charity.
Joana Ramalho, Head of Individual Giving, ISPCA said:
“The teams working directly with animals – rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming them often face heartbreaking situations. They manage complex cases, respond to emergencies and put in long hours, all while trying to keep up with the mountain of paperwork that comes with the job.
“Like many charities, we are under serious financial strain. Cashflow is tight while demand continues to grow. These laptops are more than just devices, they’re essential tools that will help our teams work more efficiently, file reports easily and dedicate more time to what truly matters: helping animals in crisis. We are incredibly grateful.”
Joana Ramalho, Head of Individual Giving, ISPCA and Rachael Weir, Head of Marketing, Vyta with Lennie the Lurcher.
Faye Thomas, Vyta CCO, said:
“We are delighted to have been able to help the ISPCA with the important work they do in supporting animals in need. We work with many organisations to ensure their IT equipment can be kept in the circular economy, helping not only the environment but making a tangible difference to charities all over Ireland and further afield. We encourage all businesses to consider donating their IT equipment for refurbishment and repurposing once it no longer meet their requirements.”
Derek Boyle, Director- Strategy & Development, Evad Technology Group added:
“The whole Evad team are very happy that through our partnership with Vyta to deliver sustainable solutions to our customers, we have had a part to play in providing laptops for refurbishment and donation to the ISPCA. These will empower their field workers to do even more amazing work to protect animals across Ireland. Seeing unused IT equipment be transformed into such valuable assets for a charity is extremely rewarding.”
